How much fire protection do I need?

That question can depend on multiple factors, such as: do you live in a rural area? What is the response time of the fire department? Do you live in multi-tenant housing? Do you have sprinklers in the home?

How much burglary protection do I need?

That would be based on the value of your contents. Remember the value of your contents may not just be the money value, but also replacement or non-replaceable heirloom value. You should contact your insurance provider and see what they recommend if you want to insure any of the items or if homeowners policy will cover them.

Will my items inside get wet?

Yes, it is very possible your items may get wet in the event of a fire or flood. We recommend you put water sensitive items in a water tight storage container like a tupperware or double ziplock bag.

How big of a safe should I buy?

We suggest that you collect all the items you want to put in your safe and find a cardboard box that they all fit nicely into. You should then buy something a little bigger for future items.

Where should I put my safe?

Some people may think that putting your safe in the master bedroom closet is to common. We recommend that you put the safe where it will be most convenient for you to use, because if you don’t use it, it does no good. Leaving items on your counter or in a drawer because the safe is in an inconvenient place is worse than having it in a common hiding place. If you buy the right safe and bolt it down properly an average burglar shouldn’t be able to steal your valuables.

Will I get an insurance discount?

Possibly but you should contact your insurance provider.

Can I use it for media?

Data needs to be stored in a specific safe built to keep fire temperatures and humidity levels at a certain point. Please contact us for more information.

Can moisture be a problem inside the safe?

Possibly, depending on the area you live in, where the safe is installed and how often you get into the safe. It may be good for you to purchase a moisture absorbing product to keep in the safe.

Can I have you install it into my house?

Yes, we can have someone from our technical service department contact you for more info.

Do I need to bolt it down?

Yes, in many cases any safe that can be moved in can be moved out. So it is always a good idea for added security to bolt your safe down.

What type of bolts do I need to bolt it down?

That would be dependant on what type of floor surface you need to attach the safe too. For concrete, you need a concrete anchor bolt. For wood, you would need heavy duty wood screw.

How often should I change the batteries?

While most safes have a low battery warning, it is a good idea to replace your batteries every 1-2 years depending on how often you use it. Batteries may leak battery acid that can corrode and damage the safe. This may happen with batteries that are 3-5 years old.

Can I insure my contents?

You may be able to but you should contact your insurance provider and ask.


Returning Your Order
If you are not 100% satisfied with the product you ordered through you may return your it within 90 days of receipt for an exchange or refund of the purchase price.


If we made an error in ordering, or if an item arrives damaged and it cannot be fixed with a part replacement, we will pay to return the item to us and send you a new product. If you determine that you do not want a replacement part or a new product, the item may be returned for a full refund as specified in the return procedures below. In most cases, we will issue a full refund (less any applicable freight, restocking, or other charges) in the same form of payment originally used to purchase the product.

Unopened Box, Original Packaging

We will refund you 100% of purchase price. All you have to do is pay return shipping. As long as it is returned within 90 days of receipt.

If the wrong item was shipped we will pay return shipping.

Opened Box, non original packaging
Restocking fees, delivery and return shipping fees may apply. In most cases, we will issue a full refund (less any applicable freight, restocking, or other charges) in the same form of payment originally used to purchase the product.

Damaged Products from shipping
Must notify the delivery company at the time of delivery and make a note of the damage on the original delivery bill the before signing off. Failure to do this may result in a restocking and or shipping fee. Photos of the damage is also a good idea if you have a camera available.


Products may be offered to be kept at a discount if they are able to be repaired ( such as small scratches or dents)


Products with severe damaged will be replaced at no cost to customer as long as it is noted on the signed delivery bill. Restrictions may apply.

Will everyone see that I am getting a safe delivered?

Not usually our safes are shipped in a plain brown box. We take security and privacy very seriously.

What is lift gate delivery?

If you purchase a safe that is too heavy for one person to lift off the back of the truck the lift gate is used to lower it out of the truck to the ground.

All products sold by that have the MSAFE  brand have a 2 year warranty to be free from manufacture defects.


If  a warranty claim is needed within the 2 year term we will repair or replace your safe free of charge including all parts and labor required.


If needed we will send out a certified technician to inspect the safe and advise as to if it will be repaired or replaced at our cost.


If the product is outside the 2 year warranty term, the issue will be determined on a case by case basis as to if it will be repaired or replace by us and at what cost if any to you.


All products purchased from also carry a free replacement guarantee. If it is ever subjected to a burglary attempt or in a fire and is damaged or destroyed causing it to be inoperable, we will ship out a brand new safe identical to or of equal value as the safe you originally purchased free of charge. All we require is your original invoice or proof of purchase and documentation from your local Police, Fire or Insurance department to be submitted with the claim verifying the claim.
