Safe Rating Explanation

Insurance coverage -Minimum jewelry replacement value:

TL-I5/European Grade I – Tool resistant 15 Min, Approximate insurance rating for up to $10,000 cash or liquid assets, or up to $100,000 in merchandise. DEA approved for drug storage.

TL-30/European Grade 2 – Tool resistant 30
Min, Approximate insurance rating for up to $30,000 cash or liquid assets, or up to $300,000 in merchandise. DEA approved for drug storage.

TL-15×6/European Grade 2– Tool resistant IS Min on all sides, approximate insurance rating for up to $350,000

TL-30×6/European Grade 3-Tool resistant30 Min all sides, approximate insurance rating for up to
$500,000

TRTL30x6/European Grade 5 – Tool and torch resistant 30 Min all sides Approximate insurance rating for $1 million plus

Burglary Safe Ratings

RSC-Rate safes/European Grade 0

Residential Security Container – Ability to withstand 5 full minutes of rigorous prying, punching, chiseling, and tampering attacks by UL technicians.

TL-15/European Grade 1 – The label means that the safe has been tested for a NET working time of 15 minutes using ” … common hand tools, drills, punches hammers, and pressure applying devices.” Net working time means simply “when the tool comes off the safe the clock stops”.

IL-30/European Grade 2 РThese tests are essentially the same as the TL-15 tests except for, they get 30 minutes and a few more tools to help them gain entrance.

Additional Safe ratings;

Add “TR”

as prefix to indicate resistance to a cutting torch “TRTL”/European Grade 4&5
